Detroit-based outdoor advertising company increased revenues from $600,000 in 2013 to $6 million in 2016; new staff to support expanding sales, account management and business operations teams
DETROIT – Brooklyn Outdoor, an award-winning outdoor advertising company headquartered in Detroit, today announced the addition of four new staff members, filling positions in sales, account management and business operations to support the company’s growth in markets across the U.S. As the company expands its reach nationally, establishing satellite offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, it has increased revenues from $600,000 in 2013 to $6 million in 2016. Adding these out-of-home advertising experts to the Brooklyn Outdoor team will ensure that the company continues to deliver impactful results to its clients during this period of expansion.
The new hires include:
Patty Sebben, Partner, Central Sales
Based in Chicago, Sebben brings more than 16 years of out-of-home advertising experience in the Midwest to Brooklyn Outdoor. During her career, she has held a variety of sales and account management roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, she led sales teams at the following independent billboard companies in Chicago: Starlite Media, Eye Corp, and Verifone Pump Media. Sebben started in advertising at Clear Channel Airports, an airport advertising company, and later moved on to Titan Chicago to help expand its business. Equipped with her extensive contacts throughout the region and her deep understanding of the Chicago market, Sebben will lead new business development in the Midwest for Brooklyn Outdoor.
Katey Johnson, Account Coordinator
Johnson began her career at Team Detroit, where she contributed to the broadcast buying team and purchased TV ads for leading automakers. Before coming to Brooklyn Outdoor, Johnson managed advertising packages sold on the Scripps Networks Interactive family of channels. Through her experience, Johnson has become engrained in the Detroit advertising community and developed a keen understanding of sales strategy, which she leverages to deliver clients targeted and informed results. Johnson is a graduate of Michigan State University.
Allie Jagger, Account Coordinator
Prior to her current role at Brooklyn Outdoor, Jagger was a marketing coordinator at Lear Corporation, where she took on many wide-ranging roles in branding, advertising, recruiting, events and social media for automotive clients. Her diverse skillset will play a key role in contributing to the expansion of Brooklyn Outdoor’s events and sales team. Jagger is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
Kerri Kwapis, Executive Assistant to the President and CEO
Kwapis has more than fifteen years of experience in global project delivery, infrastructure, compliance, contract negotiations, budget oversight, records management and product development. She has spent the past 10+ years overseeing multiple large IT infrastructure and application projects in a consultant role, ensuring the successful completion of deliverables for clients. At Brooklyn Outdoor, she will lead professional development and initiatives to help streamline operations.
