The launch of Netflix’s flagship show was just around the corner and the client reached out to Brooklyn Outdoor to support its promotion. In keeping with the gritty and raw emotion the show creates, Brooklyn Outdoor went to work.
What We Did
In the heart of Detroit’s Stadium District, just two blocks from Tiger Stadium, Ford Field, and the retail shops and trendy restaurants of Woodward Avenue, the Brooklyn team secure a mural location in one of the hottest nightlife spots in the city. After introducing the work of Detroit artist Michelle Tanguay, the client was excited to see how she would interpret the focus of Season 5’s launch campaign with her tribute to Poussey, one of the show’s most popular characters.
The success of the effort couldn’t have been clearer. The art spurred conversation and action that pulled the community together to denounce hate crimes and the client enjoyed both local and national press coverage as a result.
