Annual award recognizes Michigan companies that achieve economic and organizational growth and hire local

Detroit – July 5, 2017  Brooklyn Outdoor, a Detroit-based independent outdoor advertising agency, was selected by Corp! Magazine as one of Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots of 2017. Each year, the magazine recognizes Michigan-based companies that achieve economic and organizational growth, and prioritize hiring in-state employees.

Founded in 2013, Brooklyn Outdoor has grown from $600,000 in revenues to $6 million in 2016. Today, the company services world-renowned brands in cities across the U.S., including New York and Los Angeles, and is the only major outdoor advertising firm headquartered in Detroit.

“As a company with Detroit roots, it’s an incredible honor for Brooklyn Outdoor to be recognized by Corp! Magazine as a Michigan Economic Bright Spot,” said Candice Simons, founder and CEO of Brooklyn Outdoor. “We have seen remarkable growth over a short time, and as we continue to expand into markets on both coasts it’s our clients and the relationships we have built right here in Michigan that will continue to drive our success.”

Brooklyn Outdoor, along with the other winning companies, were honored during a June 8 award ceremony at the International Banquet Center in Detroit. 2017 award winners will be featured in the July/August issue of Corp! Magazine.
