Brooklyn Outdoor OOH Specialists give tips for working from home during Covid-19.

Our team is lucky enough to work from home for half of the work-week all year-round. Nonetheless, COVID-19 has shaken up our daily work flow. and We have had to find new ways to stay focused and show up as our best selves as we transition into working from home full-time. Read the tips from Brooklyn Outdoor OOH specialists below for working from home during Covid-19.

How to Look Great While Working From Home

Working from home during COVID-19 has called for meetings and conferences to be moved online. For those working in the outdoor advertising industry, meetings and presentations have been moved from IRL to URL. Thankfully Zoom, the online conference platform, is helping us all look a little better while doing so.

Check out the Touch Up My Appearance filter on Zoom for a little polishing before your next meeting. It won’t replace the need for a hairbrush or to change out of your pajama top, but it will help make your skin appear more polished your skin look more dewey.

Stay Focused While Working From Home by Making a To-do List

The OOH advertising industry is highly reliant on people seeing ads outside of their home. So, it’s without a doubt, that the Covid-19 pandemic is bringing a never before seen challenges for OOH advertising agencies.

Although this is concerning, let’s use this time to brush up on the projects and tasks that have been left at the bottom of the to-do list. We believe every set back is a set up for a comeback. Using this time to stay focused and preparing for sales to pick back up full speed, is one way to stay ahead of the game.

This is a great time to touch up media kits, schedule video presentations (with your BK sales rep), and make sure your website is up to date.

Make a Designated Work Space and Time for Breaks

In times of social distancing and self-isolation, it is more important than ever to make sure we are making a designated space for work and remembering to take breaks!

Working from bed may sound like a dream, but it is not great for work-life balance. We recommend keeping work outside of the bedroom. That way, you are able to unplug and unwind when it is time for rest. This is especially important during a time when we need to take extra care to check in on our mental wellbeing.

Sunlight is helpful for staying motivated and optimistic. Set up a workspace near a window to get a light recharge from the sun throughout the day. Lighting a candle is also a nice way to calm anxiety and lift spirits.

More importantly, don’t forget to take breaks. Set a timer every few hours to take a mental break. Whether this looks like stopping to pet the dog or stepping out onto the porch for some fresh air, we can’t express the importance of taking breaks enough.

Lastly, remember to step away from your computer for lunch. This might sound like a small change, but it will make the world of a difference– and prevent sticky keyboards.
